President for a Day addressed issues associated with the Political and Economic forces that affect people in Africa. The audience had to make decisions about a fictional country in Africa, and the effects of these decisions were seen in a multi-dedia simulation. At the end of the conference, groups of sixth formers were asked to consider the issues, and to discuss their own views. Groups had to "elect" a representative to contribute to a final debate. Since you missed all this, we require you to record your views in another format. Take a look at the Oxfam "I'm in" website, and also at the other sites we've included. Read through the contents of the sites, and make your mind up about the issue. You need to download the form, and complete the work it outlines. This should then be handed to your tutor on or before Thursday 20th March. Once we've had a look at what you had to say, we'll return the work to your tutor for filing. |
