Describe the teachings of the religion which you are studying about the sanctity of life in relation to either abortion or euthanasia.

The best place to look for Christian teachings is in your textbook. You can supplement your textbook with information from either the
Abortion or Euthanasia pages. Remember that you are looking for Christian teachings - you need to look for quotations to support anything you write about Christian teachings. Try "What the Church of England Says" for useful information about the Anglican Church's views on Abortion and Euthanasia. The Roman Catholic view on abortion can be found here.

Explain how these teachings might influence the actions of a believer.

A good way to approach this part of the coursework is to explain how Christian teaching would be put into practice in general, and then choose some "case studies" to test the teachings on! A good example of this would be to see how Christian teaching would be applied in the case of
Diane Pretty. Obviously, "case studies" will be harder to find if you have chosen the Abortion option.

‘Death is God's business and people should not interfere.'

The key to this part of the Assignment is to look at a range of points of view before saying whether you agree or disagree with the statement.

You could conduct a small survey to gather a range of points of view. Make sure you include religious opinions, and also make sure you explain your own views.
